Currently run as a cattle farm, Points of View has a thriving cow/calf operation that uses approximately 124 acres of open land.  It is fenced on several grazing pastures.  The residue of the farm consists of 80 acres of (partially fenced) pasture on the top of Hickerson Mountain, and approximately 124 acres of wooded mountainside containing harvestable hardwoods.

The most spectacular feature of Points of View Farm is the mountain pasture.  Over 80 acres of cleared pasture at the top of Hickerson Mountain affords some of the most beautiful mountain views on the East Coast.  360 degree views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Piedmont stretch for miles around.   An iconic oak tree at the top of the mountain is a landmark for miles around.  There are several outstanding building sites at the peak which afford wrap-around gorgeous views while assuring utter privacy from the outside world.

While the mountain pastures are well suited to grazing livestock, the soils, drainage, elevation and slope create excellent vineyard potential as well, or reconversion back to a mountain orchard.

Royal exit).  Approximately 70 miles from Washington, DC.  Travel time to downtown DC is 1 Hour 30 minutes (in low traffic situations).  Approximately 60 minutes to Dulles International Airport.  1 hour 15 minutes to Charlottesville.  20 minutes to Warrenton, 10 minutes to Front Royal.   Points of View is in Old Dominion Hounds foxhunting territory.
